History

JumpPoint is the culmination of a series of consolidation and rebranding efforts undertaken by gloPlug Limited ("GPL"). gloPlug continues to be the umbrella organization under which JumpPoint operates and has been in business in Canada since 2007. Operating under the brand name of JumpPoint, we are a consolidated technology solutions company that offers Canadian companies access to a wide range of datacentre management solutions, cloud services, as well as financial services and professional support.

Initially, GPL's mandate was to provide organizations with access to a boutique IT data storage consulting and services practice that optimized existing infrastructure environments while architecting, installing, and supporting net new builds.  The company quickly became a dominant VAR in the Toronto area, and specifically the largest NetApp channel partner in Canada.

With a reputation in the industry for both business and technical acumen, the company quickly grew and responded to this rapid growth by expanding our reach and the types of solutions and services we offered. In 2009, we acquired JumpPoint Technologies Inc., an IBM Premier Partner, which allowed us to provide superior technology solutions in the datacentre management space. Simultaneously, we acquired Sevion systems, which rounded out our solution portfolio to include harmonized appliance, software and service data management packages as well as turnkey white label cloud-based managed service offerings.

In looking to simplify our market presence and bring all of our solutions under one brand name, we chose JumpPoint because it seemed to best reflect how we see the market and our place in it. As of March 2010, GPL, Sevion and JumpPoint are now all JumpPoint and with aggressive growth plans on the horizon, we are poised to enter the broader Canadian marketplace and extend our reach into the United States.
